2-IMMERSE allows media companies to create and stream object-based broadcasts. The platform is meant to augment current workflows as they are present in areas such as live-sports broadcasting. The DIS group’s work within the project focused on production tools and temporal synchronisation of media objects. Some key features are:

• Application for pre-producing object-based broadcasts in the browser by means of a graphical editor in a web browser
• Ability to stream and control live content
• Temporal synchronisation of media objects by means of an XML-based open file format
• Insertion of dynamic media objects into live streams through a web application or dedicated hardware and software
